Nella prefazione a Le bleu du ciel, Georges Bataille dichiara che un tormento personale è all’origine delle mostruose anomalie del romanzo. In questo articolo, avvalendomi anche degli strumenti della psicoanalisi e della decostruzione, si cerca di chiarire il senso del mostruoso nella riflessione filosofica di Bataille mettendolo in relazione alle nozioni di dépense e di sacrificio.

In the preface to Blue of Noon, Georges Bataille declares that a personal torment is at the origin of the «monstrous anomalies» of the novel. In this paper, also making use of the tools of psychoanalysis and deconstruction, we try to clarify the meaning of the monstrous in Bataille’s philosophical reflection by relating it to the notions of dépense and sacrifice.
